I haven't been on this site for a while, which is terrible since I started it. I've had some major issues with my bipolar disorder and haven't been able to go near the computer.
FYI: I've banned some members that felt this was an appropriate place to advertise pharmaceuticals. That will not be tolerated and any member who posts spam will be deleted. This is a place for serious writers to post their work and network with other writers. Those kind of people will be welcomed.
I hope that e…

Vague lights flicker on the heath
As shattered spirits glow to lure
The bogs that call at midnight chime
Where a forgotten enemy walks no more
Thirst runs deep on the barren heath
Vague mists rise and shadow the mind
Singing so soft like sirens of the sea

Free fall
In a void
Faster
Faster
Drop,Spin
Will it end?
Free fall
So broken
Lips blue
Eyes wide
Bound
Blind
Deaf
Free fall
Chilled pale skin
Mist
Fog
Rise
The circle turns
And
The tide covers a…

Dark Matter...Angel Of Light
born of dark matter...stardust..light
mixed with blood-blackened dirt
we come wailing into a void of death
our days numbered-measured-named...
woven in darkness, warp and weft
the threads lengthen...a legion hand in hand
a reaping has begun for this...this is his...
some, gone before the spark is lit
much mourned with tears...envy
their road never taken...sweet brief
luminous shimmering-pale spirits___
shine-bright...a beacon, a sign of glory
then weary-weakened by…

wild blue cornflowers
grow neatly in a row
across a narrow patch
of well tended lush green grass
it is a tiny patch
no wider then foot across
nor longer then two feet at the most
but love and obsession speaks in every
blade of grass that grows, so perfect
not a sign of brambles nor weeds
and the bright blue cornflowers
are tended with love
at the head of the tiny plot
rests a brilliant white stone
a lamb and a weeping angel
forever lie side by side
while the cornflowers he loved so much
nod…

This short story was inspired by 3WW, the words being:
inappropriate
order
shortcut
The three men made
inappropriate remarks as she brought them their
order, three Big Boy Breakfasts. As a waitress in a dusty truck stop in the middle of the Arizona desert, along a major
shortcut on the highway, she was all too used to being groped and harassed. The men were heavyset, donning dirty overalls and wife beaters, their long greasy hair loosely tied into ponytails. A dime a dozen…

torn from the womb
the jellyfish
screams in the night
for its mother
the drunken whore.
its eye opens
onto the world
the nightmarish bliss
the mother kisses
the head of the fish
goodbye.
Into the dumpster
the father sighs
then blows his brains out
with the 45.

the baby fish
as tears fall
from its lids
filling its gills
the sirens wail
the lights
blue, white, red
discolor the house.
in the basement
the birth happened
the neighbors watched
outside
in the cold
dogs bark

Come to me my sweet; allow me to lavish upon you the affection that I am dying to bestow. I want nothing more than to please you, to set your skin aflame with the passion kindling within me. It has been so long, too terribly long, and I only wish to experience the wondrous pleasures that a man like you can grant me. I have been so lonely, my flesh aching to feel the loving touch of a man such as you. Do not fear, do not worry, I merely want to feel you inside of me, feel your lips caressing my s…

Falling into fitful slumber
Eternal requiem playing in my mind
Words oft spoken but rarely heard
Repeated over and over again,
My everlasting bane.
Dreams sublime turn to nightmares
Horrid, that haunt my weary soul
Never ending, no peace in death
Lost here to forever roam
Barren lands, desolate and despairing
With nowhere to call home.

On a whim I decided to start this social network to have a place for people whose writing is mostly dark and tragic. Maybe you suffer from a mental illness or addiction (I am a bipolar addict) that colors your writing with a melancholy you can't deny. Or maybe you just like to write about the not so sweet side of life. Whatever your reason for joining, welcome!
You'll have to forgive me for my ignorance as this is the first social network I have started and I'm still playing around with it and…
